We’ve been eagerly awaiting the moment we could announce the addition of a very exciting new artist to Bazaaar- Jasmine Raisbeck @jasmineraisbeck.art !! Jasmine Raisbeck is an award-winning artist from Perth, Western Australia, who produces a very unique, tactile geometric style of art. Jasmine has been a finalist in the SBS Portrait Prize and received third prize in the Claremont Art Awards.
In Jasmine’s current body of abstract work, she explores the relationship between shapes, pattern and texture to create 3D works, or ‘wall sculptures’. She employs a minimalist colour palette, perhaps in a big to find calm amongst the chaos of raising small children.
Each work in this latest series of geometric wall sculptures is handmade in Jasmine’s Perth studio. No two pieces are the same. The pattern is random and chaotic, yet the works somehow feel harmonious. The artworks are made using a combination of mixed media, calcite grit compound & synthetic polymer paint on wood board. They are framed in Tasmanian oak.
We have been lucky enough to get our hands on four commissioned pieces of Jasmine’s work- with one already sold!
